Is this part of a longer piece or is it meant to stand alone? If it's stand alone, you have to explain who some of the people are. Plus the situation. If it's part of a longer piece, I'll assume you have already set the scene. The last paragraph is interesting philosophical insights, but you can't just jump from A to Z like that - you have to share the process witht he reader
