My Sims 3 wont load!? PLEASE HELP?

so I open the launcher, click on the play button and it just freezes and dies. I got the game at Christmas and have played it A LOT, especially recently. my computer can handle the game and the game software is up to date, however i have noticed one change. when I open the launcher the window in it which shows you what's going on in the Sims 3 website sort of thing just doesn't come up, in stead it is that white page that says, "navigation to this site was cancelled" my internet works perfectly (as you can tell since I'm asking this question) so i have no idea what's going on. can somebody please tell me what's going on and how to to fix it!? PLEASE
