How do I make my sims remarry each other? PLEASE HELP!!!!!?

I have Sims3. My male and female sims are married. I made my male sim kiss another woman. When my male sim came home, the female accused him of cheating. And instead of being like best friends, (the green meter was full) they are now enemies (the red meter is full). They both wished to divorce each other, but i canceled it. I brought the red meter up a little (closer to the green side). A few days (in sim time, that is) later, I checked their relationship (as in, acquaintance, friend, good friend, best friend, enemy, wife, son, etc.) and it said the were ex-wife and ex-husband!!! I did not let them divorce, I didn't even let them talk to each other, until things cooled down a bit. And now whenever I make them go to sleep if the guy gets into bed first, and then I have the girl go to sleep, instead of the 'Sleep' option, there's only the 'Sleep in Jimmy's Bed' option. And vice versa if the wife gets into bed first. How can I make them get back together again if I didn't even make them divorce??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!
